IF YOU are already thinking about the cost of next Christmas, spare a thought for Bramley mum Samantha Middleton.
The 28-year-old gave birth to 6lbs 12oz Jack on Christmas Day – which is also her husband Richard’s birthday.
The mother-of-two said she is already scratching her head wondering how she can host two birthdays and celebrate Christmas all on the same day.
“I never expected this to happen,” said Samantha. “Jack being born on his dad’s birthday is something we would never have dreamed of – I think it’s fair to say we had quite an eventful Christmas!”
Jack arrived at 7.33am on Christmas Day at Basingstoke hospital – eight days after his due date.
Husband Richard, 42, a landscape gardener admitted that December 25 will certainly be a hectic, but memorable, day for the couple, who also have a three-year-old daughter Emily, in the future.
“God help Sam now there are two of us to contend with,” he said. “Christmas will certainly be an expensive time of year for us now.”
