Borough mayor to remember holocaust victims

BASINGSTOKE and Deane mayor Councillor Martin Biermann is inviting residents to join him at a ceremony to remember the millions of holocaust victims.
The mayor will lay a wreath at the war memorial outside the Civic Offices, in London Road, on January 25 at 10am on behalf of the council staff.
The ceremony is two days before the national Holocaust Memorial Day – January 27 – which marks the liberation of Auschwitz in 1945.
