Egyptian god figurine stolen from Basingstoke home

AN Egyptian god figurine was stolen from a house in Basingstoke.
The ornament of Thoth, the god of writing and knowledge, was taken from the house in Old Worting Road between 10.10am and 11.45am on February 6, after burglars forced their way into the property.
A safe containing money and personal documents was also stolen, along with jewellery of sentimental value.
PC Lisa Cooper, from Basingstoke police station, said: “Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time of this incident? Do you have any information about the whereabouts of the stolen property?”
