Jewellery stolen from house in Petty's Brook Road, Chineham.

JEWELLERY was stolen from a Chineham house after a thief broke in by throwing a large stone through a window.

The burglary took place between 8.30am and 5.30pm on Wednesday, February 13, after the thief entered a rear, enclosed garden of a house in Petty’s Brook Road and threw a large stone through the lounge window.

PC Mark Pullman of Basingstoke police said: “Smashing the glass would have made quite a noise. Did you hear anything or see anything suspicious during the day?”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Pullman at Basingstoke CID on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
