GLAMOUR queens from across the county can now apply for this year’s Miss Hampshire and Isle of Wight regional finals.

The event will be held on Monday, May 6 at the Alton House Hotel, in Alton, and will be hosted by last year’s Mr England, Roland Johnson.

The winner will have the opportunity to represent Hampshire at the Miss England grand final in Torquay in June, where they will receive an all-expenses-paid four-day stay at the Imperial Hotel.

Entries are encouraged from women who meet the rules of eligibility and who should not be less than 17 years of age or more than 24 years of age on December 31 this year.

The event will feature award rounds, where contestants can secure a place in the top 10, before being assessed by a judging panel on the night.

The panel, which will be made up of sponsors and last year’s Miss Hampshire and IOW, Grace Levy, from Fareham, will then select an overall winner, who will also receive a full day photo-shoot and portfolio as part of the prize.

Paula Langley, organiser of the event, said: “Beauty is more than just looking good. Miss Hampshire should be somebody who can truly represent all that this wonderful county has to offer – somebody who can do great things with their title and make Hampshire proud.”
