Jobi McAnuff, Reading Football Club captain, visits The Grey House School
A PREMIER League footballer forgot relegation troubles for an hour to visit pupils in Hartley Wintney.
Jobi McAnuff, captain of Reading Football Club, visited The Grey House School, in Mount Pleasant, where he answered questions and signed photographs.
He had been invited by nine-year-old pupil Luca Tonkin, whose family are keen Reading supporters. The youngster was giving a presentation on the club for an exam and gave a version of his talk to his hero.
Headmistress Chrissie Allen said: “It was a privilege for the children to meet an excellent ambassador for his club and the sport.”
In March 2011, then club captain Matt Mills visited the school after Luca’s older brother Finley wrote to him for help with a project.
