Mother woke to see a burglar running out of her South Ham home

A MOTHER suffered a “frightening” experience when she woke to see a burglar running out of her house.
The woman was asleep at her home in Cornish Close, South Ham with her children at the time, when she heard a noise and went to investigate at 1am on March 10.
She saw a figure run out of her house after gaining access through an insecure door.
PC Dave Cook said: “Nothing is believed to have been stolen but this was a very frightening experience for the woman.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen someone running away from a house in Cornish Close, to contact me.
“I would also encourage people to ensure all their windows and doors are kept secure, especially overnight.”
