Man attacked in toilets at The Bounty Inn

A MAN was seriously injured when he was assaulted in the toilets of a Basingstoke pub.

The 32-year-old was in The Bounty Inn’s toilets on March 1, which are accessed by going out of the building in Bounty Road, when he was assaulted by two men at around midnight on March 1.

He suffered serious facial injuries, a fractured cheekbone and eye socket, which needed surgery.

The two attackers are described as white and one was wearing a long-sleeved white jumper with fair brown hair and the other was wearing dark coloured clothing.

Detective constable Simon Quickfall said: “Were you in the pub just before midnight on Friday, March 1? Did you see any altercation or anyone running from the pub at around that time?”

Anyone with information should call Det Con Quickfall at Basingstoke CID on 101.
