VINTAGE clothes were bang on trend at a party in Old Basing.

More than 150 people came to the event in Old Basing Village Hall, in The Street, which raised more than £700 for the pregnancy charity Tommy’s.

The night included live music from band Lipstick On Your Collar, a DJ, a bar and cooked food which included curries and jacket potato with chilli con carne.

The party was organised by Sharon Dann and Genevieve Baldwin, who run party firm Dolly’s Vintage.

Miss Baldwin, of Little Basing, Old Basing, gave birth to her stillborn daughter Imogen Ocean in March this year, and since then has been raising money for Tommy’s, which funds medical research into miscarriages, premature births and stillbirths.

After the party, the 32-year-old said: “It was an amazing party. We had such a good time and everyone said how much they enjoyed it.

“We did not have a dress code but I said for guests to come in their vintage best, and about 90 per cent did.”

Tickets are now on sale for the next party, which will take place from 7.30pm on Saturday, November 2 at the village hall.

The women will also hold a fair at the hall between 11am and 3pm on Sunday, October 6.
