Rotherwick woman gets Phones4U advert break
A ROTHERWICK woman features in a new television advert for a mobile phone company.
Grace Glen was selected to appear in the Phones4U commercial, and is seen in the advert looking concerned for a friend who is told at a beach party that her boyfriend is breaking up with her, only to be introduced to a bare-chested hunk carrying a puppy.
The 28-year-old actress, whose mother Sharon writes the Rotherwick Community News for The Gazette and whose father is Hart and Hampshire County Councillor Jonathan Glen, spent 14 hours filming the advert at Long Beach, California.
She said: “It’s crazy to do that much work for the final product to be 40 seconds. But that’s the nature of the beast when it comes to adverts.”
Grace, a former North Foreland Lodge School for Girls pupil, who now lives in Hollywood, said landing the job had been very satisfying but had its drawbacks.
She said: “The 5am call time was the toughest part for me. We wrapped up around 7pm. It was a long day but amazing.”
The commercial was Grace’s first national advert.
