'Creeper burglar' could be in Hampshire
A MAN wanted in connection with a string of “creeper burglaries” in Sussex could be in Hampshire, police believe.
Sussex Police want to speak to Gregory Hawley, 20, about a spate of 12 thefts in the Hove area of Sussex which involved thousands of pounds worth of household goods including laptops, mobile phones and iPods.
The spate started on October 11 last year and ended on May 30 this year.
Sussex Police now believe Mr Hawley, of Poynings Drive, Hove, has travelled to Hampshire and have offered a £500 reward for information that leads to his arrest.
PC Alex Chaszcewski said: “Each of these offences was a creeper burglary, where the offenders find a way into the property while the residents are asleep and take what they can.
“Some of the victims of these burglaries have been waiting months for the person responsible for targeting their homes to be caught and we want to give them justice.”
Anyone with information can call 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
