Thief stole £9,800 worth of Elizabeth Duke jewellery from Argos stole in Hatch Warren
DETECTIVES are hunting a thief who stole thousands of pounds worth of jewellery from Argos.
The break-in took place at the Argos store in Wallop Drive, Hatch Warren, just after 4am on Saturday, September 7.
CCTV footage shows a dark-coloured hatchback car pulling up outside the store just before 4am. A person, wearing dark-coloured clothing, a hooded top and gloves and carrying a light-coloured sack, entered the store shortly before 4.30am.
The person is seen to go in and out of the shop twice before the vehicle leaves.
In all, the thief stole £9,800 worth of Elizabeth Duke jewellery.
Detective Constable Drew Wright said: “This is a high-value commercial burglary committed in the early hours of the morning where a large quantity of Elizabeth Duke jewellery was taken.
“The execution of the offence and speed in which it was committed shows a degree of professionalism and pre-planning.”
