Mystery surrounds cause of Hartley Wintney heath fire
FIREFIGHTERS spent more than three hours tackling a large heath blaze in Hartley Wintney.
A crew of more than 20 were called to the fire in Hazeley Heath at 5.50pm on October 10, where five hectares were alight.
Three pumps and three land rovers from Hartley Wintney, Fleet, Yateley, and Rushmoor attended the incident. Firefighters were there until 9.12pm dampening down the blaze, and returned the following morning to check the site.
A spokeswoman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said they do not know what caused the fire, and added that there was unlikely to be an investigation.
