ONE lucky person is now £1million richer after they came forward today with a winning EuroMillions Raffle ticket that was bought in the Basingstoke area.
As previously reported in The Gazette, the prize had gone unclaimed after the winning ticket was purchased in a shop in Basingstoke and Deane on February 7.
UK players automatically receive a EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle selection for every EuroMillions line played.
A National Lottery spokesman said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win. It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-changing amount of money.
“We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”
The identity of the winner is not known, and will not be revealed unless the winner agrees to publicity.
