A BAR owner in Basingstoke has applied to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council for permission to continue operating extended opening hours.
Plush Lounge Bar, in Wote Street, has applied to the borough council to change a planning condition relating to the opening hours, which was imposed in 2011.
When planning permission was approved for the bar, the borough council restricted its opening hours to 8am until 2.30am Monday to Thursday, 8am to 3.30am on Fridays and Saturdays, and 8am to 12.30am on Sundays and bank holidays.
Bar boss Ernie Phillips successfully applied to the borough council in August last year for permission to extend the opening hours to 4am on Fridays, 4.30am on Saturdays and bank holidays.
He has now applied to the borough council to renew the permission to open until 4am on Fridays, and 4.30am on Saturdays and bank holidays.
