A BASINGSTOKE boy band drew in a large crowd at Trafalgar Square when they were pelted with chocolate and salt.
Concept, who reached the judges’ houses stage of The X Factor, helped celebrate the final of a chocolate making contest.
Karim Newton, Ben Selley, Scott Dicks, Nathan Gittens and Matt Goodenough, all former Queen Mary’s College students, were chased around the square by some of the contestants in The Great British Salted Chocolate Challenge.
The national competition looked to find Britain’s best new salted chocolate, which were presented by the finalists in London on November 6. The winner, Iain Burnett, will have his salted chocolate fast-tracked into a top London food hall in time for Christmas.
Fans turned out in force to watch Concept get covered in melted chocolate, whilst being filmed by a new British video-based social network app, called Avanatta, which has been used by Concept fans to download footage of the boys.
