BASINGSTOKE residents will be able to take part in a programme designed to help them reduce the impact that hearing loss has on their lives.
UK charity Hearing Loss will be holding a special three-session course during November, January and February with the first session taking place at the Hilton Hotel, in Old Common Road on November 18 between 10am and 3.30pm.
The programme will cover a range of subjects that will address the practical and emotional issues that hearing loss brings and the support that can be offered.
Sandie Nattress, one of two volunteer facilitators who run the Hampshire Self-Management Programme, said: “Like all other Hearing Link Self-Management Programme facilitators, I have hearing loss and understand how frustrating living with hearing loss can be.
“The self-management programme is a tried and tested, highly regarded programme.
“You’ll meet others that also have hearing loss and will have the opportunity to exchange tips and learn from each other’s experiences.”
Places on the programme need to be booked in advance at hearinglink.org.self-man nagement-programmes.
To discuss anything before booking, or if you would like a booking form emailed or sent to your address, contact Hearing Link’s helpdesk at or telephone 0300 111 1113.
