BASINGSTOKE Motorcycle Riders Group took part in the 29th Reading Christians Bikers Annual Toy Run.
The Basingstoke contingent met at Basingstoke Leisure Park, before heading up to Reading, from where they roared over to Wokingham.
The local group’s organiser, Graeme Handley, 37, of Middleton Gardens, South View, Basingstoke, said the gifts are for underprivileged and vulnerable children, and will be given out to those in Barnado’s care across the UK.
The motorcycle mechanic, who was dressed as batman on the day, said: “We had 91 riders from Basingstoke this year – our third year in taking part in this event.”
Graeme said 1,773 bikers took part in total, plus 555 passengers.
“We think we have set the first world record for the biggest motorcycle toy run – we’re just waiting for confirmation from the Guinness Book of Records.”
Graeme thanked Just Motorcycles, on Moniton Trading Estate, Basingstoke, for its support.
