PEOPLE will aim to have fun while raising lots of cash at a charity event next month.
A two-hour Zumbathon is being held to raise funds for West Berkshire Mencap and the FireFighters Charity, which is based in Basing View, on Friday, May 1.
The fundraiser, which will take place between 7pm and 9pm at Nuffield Health, in Newbury, will see the proceeds split between the two charities. It costs £10 per adult to take part.
Neil Daniel, one of the five fitness instructors running the event, said: “The reason I like doing Zumbathons is partly to do with why I love being an instructor.
“We feed off the energy and enthusiasm of our participants in class so when there is a huge hall full of smiling, energetic people, the buzz it gives me personally is just unbeatable.
“It is also incredibly rewarding being able to give something back to the community by raising funds and awareness for such deserving charities as West Berkshire Mencap and The Fire Fighters Charity.”
