LOCAL dance company FatBoyZ will host a special one-hour fundraising dance workshop this week.

This street dance class aims to raise money to help the survivors of the earthquake in Nepal.

More than 7,000 people were killed and 10,000 left injured after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit the country on Saturday, April 25.

Thousands of aid and rescue workers from around the world have travelled to the country to help.

The workshop, which will take place on Saturday at 2.30pm at Aldworth Science College, is open to the public from children to adults.

Organisers of the event, dance champions brother and sister Liam Dawett and Shivani Dawett, said: “After hearing this tragedy, we at FatBoyZ Dance Company wanted to help the victims of the earthquake.

“We urge Basingstoke to come together and join us to take part in this charity dance workshop.”
