THE fourth Basingstoke Festival is coming to an end.

Here’s a closer look at just some of the events coming up in the final few days until Sunday, July 12.

Coram Boy, Basingstoke Youth Theatre, The Haymarket - Thursday

Set in 18th-century England, Coram Boy is the tale of two cities – Gloucester and London – and a tale of two orphans at the Coram Hospital for Foundling Children, set against a backdrop of a true and tragic episode of British social history. Vivid and compelling, this harrowing play with music is based on the novel from Whitbread Award-winning Jamila Gavin.

Robin Hood the Musical, Basing House - Sunday

Come and have a, fun-filled picnic with your family while watching this hilarious musical show. Boys and girls are invited to come along dressed in their best Sherwood fashion. There will also be a 45 minute drama workshop where children aged five to 10 can play drama games with the actors before the show - £3 per child. Tickets: 01256 463965

The Black Island, Proteus Creation Space - Saturday

Fluid Motion Theatre Company’s Basingstoke Youth Theatre presents The Black Island, a mysterious and thrilling adventure that takes a young reporter across the world in pursuit of a dangerous gang of crooks.
