Fallen heroes to be honoured at special event
THE Hampshire Royal British Legion is to hold a special event in November to honour those who have lost their lives in conflict.
The Festival of Remembrance will take place on November 1 at the Mayflower Theatre, in Southampton, with performances from the bands of the Adjutant General’s Corps, the Rifles and the Queen’s Division, as well as many others.
Her Serene Highness Princess Sophie von Hohenberg – the great-granddaughter of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria – will be the guest of honour at the event.
It was his assassination that triggered the outbreak of World War One.
