A MAN who suffered from epilepsy drowned in a pool in Cyprus.
Damian Sumner was staying with his mother Jenni Dickinson in her villa this summer, an inquest heard.
On August 18 the 37-year-old, who lived with his mother in St Mary Bourne, decided to stay behind while his mother went out with friends at 9.30am.
She returned at 4.30pm and found him face down in the shallow end of the pool.
The inquest at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court heard he was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
North East Hampshire coroner Andrew Bradley recorded a verdict of accidental death, as a result of asphyxiation from drowning.
