A TRAIN which left Basingstoke in the early hours of the morning has derailed near Wimbledon.
The rear carraige of the South Western Railway train, believed to have departed from Basingstoke for London Waterloo at 4.54am today, derailed at low speed as the train was leaving Wimbledon station at around 6am.
Around 300 people were on board with four reported to have sustained minor injuries, according to the London Fire Brigade.
London Ambulance Service said none of the four people injured required hospital treatment.
Emergency services were called and the incident was declared over by 9.09am.

London Fire Bridgade station manager Cathi Reeve, who was at the scene, said: "Our specialist Urban Search and Rescue teams quickly helped passengers from the train and thankfully there were only a few minor injuries."
Delays on the routes are expected until around 3pm.
