BASINGSTOKE Town FC have tonight announced that former Farnborough manager Frank Gray has been appointed as first-team manager.
The ex-Leeds and Nottingham Forest player was offered, and accepted, the job after topping a shortlist of candidates for the job at The Camrose.
Rafi Razzak announced the new appointment on the Basingstoke Town FC website this evening.
The club president and chairman said: "Frank brings to our club a wealth of experience in management at our level as well as the Conference.
"I would like, on behalf of the board of directors and the supporters, to wish Frank every success at Basingstoke."
Gray will be at training later this week and will also go to the Hampshire Senior Cup final in Bournemouth on Saturday - where the Dragons will take on his former team Farnborough.
In another twist, Farnborough have recently appointed Francis Vines - the man Gray replaces at The Camrose - to the manager's post at Farnborough. Vines will also be at Saturday's game.
