POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in Basingstoke.
A 41-year-old man was assaulted in the Norn Hill area of Oakridge between midnight and 12.30am on Saturday, July 12.
The man was hit on the arm with a pole causing him to suffer a broken arm for which he was treated at Basingstoke hospital.
Pc Sarah Clement, from Basingstoke police, said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who has any information about this assault.
"Although it happened late at night, it did occur in a residential area and residents may have been woken by the disturbance and seen something."
