AN ARTISTIC Take That fanatic has scooped first prize in an international competition after producing top-notch sketches of the comeback kings.
Allison Morgan entered her drawing of Mark Owen, Gary Barlow, Jason Orange and Howard Donald into an artwork competition run by the band's official website www.takethattv.com
Her work, which depicts the boyband in almost photographic quality, made it on to the shortlist and then hundreds of forum members voted the 40-year-old's creation as the best of the bunch.
As a reward, Miss Morgan, of Pack Lane, Oakley, won a platinum disc to represent the extraordinary sales of the band's comeback album Beautiful World.
"I couldn't believe it when I found out I had won," she said. "I have been drawing the band for a while now, and other celebrities, and was planning to get a collection of my work published, but I have had problems with permission rights, so we'll have to see."
Miss Morgan, who was a huge fan of the band in their '90s heyday, said she couldn't believe it when she heard the boys were reforming.
"I couldn't get a ticket for the comeback tour, but I went to see their Beautiful World tour and it was amazing," she added.
The competition prize now takes pride of place on the wall at Miss Morgan's home.
