ILLEGAL hypnotism, refrigerators with incorrect energy ratings and the presence of rabbits are some of the 1,043 reasons Government agencies and councils can use to enter people's homes.

Basingstoke MP Maria Miller has called on the Government to avoid adding new surveillance powers that town halls could abuse, while continuing to bring forward measures to tackle crime and terrorism.

She said: "Day by day, the rights and liberties of law-abiding citizens across Basingstoke are being eroded."

Maybe we humble citizens could have a list of these 'reasons' so we know how to behave before we get our doors smashed in?

I thought 'Big Brother' was just a really awful TV program, but it seems it's just a test to compare our sanity with selected others?

The 'reality' could be down your street anytime?
