3G MOBILE technology and mobile CCTV cameras mounted on incident support vehicles are being used on the M3.
The technology enables staff at the Easton Lane Outstation in Winchester to monitor and control the cameras at various parts of the busy motorway.
It is hoped the technology will ensure that the right resources are dispatched to incidents at the right time, to enable the Highways Agency to keep traffic moving.
