Fears grow for missing North Baddesley man
10:11am Tuesday 10th September 2013 in Romsey
A MAN has spoken of his fears for the safety of his brother who has been missing for three weeks.
Concerns are growing for North Baddesley man John Francis Hart, who has not been seen since August 17.
His family and police are so worried they have released a photograph Mr Hart, 65, who was reported missing by his brother Roger on September 4.
John, who ran a car repair business in Castle Lane until it recently shut, was last seen by his daughter and ex-partner on August 17.
Police say that Mr Hart was depressed over financial worries and it’s believed he may be living rough in the Southampton area.
He has no known current address.
Mr Hart is described as 5ft 10in and of stocky build. He has grey short hair but is balding and he may currently have a beard.
Brother Roger, who lives in Devon, said it was the first time John had gone missing.
He said: “We are very worried about him. He has been missing for more than two weeks and we have no idea what’s happened.
“This is the first time this has happened. I have thought about coming down to search for him myself.
“We have heard nothing so far – it’s a complete mystery.
“We are concerned that the weather is starting to change for the worse and he has not been living on the streets before. He would find it very difficult.”
Anyone who has seen Mr Hart or knows of his whereabouts should contact the duty sergeant at Romsey police station on 101.
