ROMSEY Carnival bosses are already preparing for this year’s events.
Charities that benefitted from last year’s summer and winter parades and other carnival events are due to receive their cash on Wednesday, January 8 at the committee’s annual general meeting at the White Horse Hotel.
Town mayor Ian Richards will chair the meeting, which starts at 7.30pm and the 2014 committee will also be elected.
Carnival chairman John Ray said talks on sponsoring this year’s events were on-going and details are expected to be announced at the AGM.
He praised Rownhams Bed Centre, Wheelers Travel, Scats, David Wilson Homes and other shops and businesses for donating prizes for raffles in 2013.
