POLICE are looking for two women after they demanded money from a Romsey pensioner. Officers say the women called at the man’s home in Viney Avenue and offered to do some gardening work for him.

Despite being told by the 80-year-old man that he didn’t want anything done, the women ignored him and did some work.

They then demand cash but the man refused and the pair left in a small silver hatchback type vehicle. Investigating officers say one of the women was wearing large loop earrings.

Anyone with information about Wednesday afternoon’s incident is asked to contact PC Katrina Smith at Romsey police station on 101.
