Discount for 'Early Bird' walkers

Charity fund-raisers hoping to take part in the popular Walk the Test Way in October will receive a discount on their registration fee if they sign up before August 1.

“Early Bird” registration costs £7.50 for adults and is free for those aged 15 years and under.

Last year, the event, organised by the Rotary Club of Romsey Test, raised over £60,000 for charities, and since the walk began in 2004, more than £400,000 has been collected for good causes.

This year’s walk takes place on Sunday, October 12. There will be a choice of five distances, ranging from five miles up to a marathon 26 miles, with the finish line in Romsey’s War Memorial park.

Buses are provided to take walkers to their chosen start point and the route is fully signposted and marshalled throughout. To register or find out more, visit
