There was a surprise awaiting a camera club stalwart when he attended the regular weekly meeting.

Terry Jamieson of Viewfinders of Romsey received a Roll of Honour award from John Hodge, president of the SCPF (Southern Counties Photographic Federation).

Terry was nominated for the award for his continuous commitment and dedication to the club.

Terry joined Viewfinders in 2001 and has served on the committee in several posts over the years and this year was elected secretary.

He has also been very active in his role as delegate to the SCPF.

During his presidency, John Hodge has travelled up and down the country and visits as many clubs as he can. He stayed for the rest of the regular meeting and enjoyed a talk given by Leo Rich.

Leo describes himself as a lucky photographer. His images of tigers in the wild were stunning and he agreed he was lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

Viewfinders meet every Tuesday at 7.30pm in the Michelmersh and Timsbury Jubilee Hall and visitors are always very welcome. For more information, visit the club’s website at viewfinderscc.org.uk.
