CHILDREN in West Tytherley and neighbouring Frenchmoor are jumping for joy thanks to new play equipment.
After a £37,000 makeover children in the two communities have modern equipment to play on at West Tytherley Recreation Ground.
This includes a multi-play unit encompassing a slide, a nest swing and obstacle course, a rotary cone climber, a ladybird springer rider and standard swings. There is also a zip wire (pictured). Test Valley’s mayor Jan Lovell will officially open the facility on Saturday, November 1.
Cash for the equipment has come from fundraising events in the village, individuals, West Tytherley Parish Council, Test Valley Borough Council, Hampshire Playing Fields Association, Viridor Credits and the Hill Group at Whiteparish.
