A Romsey charity’s first ever fundraising event was a big hit.
Saturday’s quiz evening in aid of Romsey Young Carers raised £523.09 which will all go towards supporting the work of the charity.
The evening was attended by 78 people making up twelve teams. The quiz was closely contested with the winning team, Oranges & Lemons, taking first place by just one point.
Volunteer fundraising co-ordinator, Neil Sharman, said: “This was the first fundraising event that we have organised. We have been pleased by the sum raised and delighted by the amount of positive feedback received from those who were present.
“There has been a lot of demand to make this a regular event. Thanks goes to the staff, volunteers and family members who helped to make the evening such a success and so much fun.”
