THESE Cub Scouts at Copythorne baked up the right recipe to help two charities.
They made bread rolls for a meal at Copythorne Scout HQ which raised £230 to be shared between Macmillan Cancer Support and the dolphin and whale charity, Orca.
Management at the Empress of Blandings in the village allowed the Zulu Cubs to use the restaurant’s kitchen and chefs gave them a helping hand.
More than 50 guests attended the meal and were waited on by the Cubs.
Scout leader Ruth Farmers said: “A few weeks ago the boys were fascinated by a talk about the work of Orca and wanted to help the charity as well as Macmillan Cancer Support which was the charity supported by the Empress of Blandings.
Ruth said she was “indebted” to Chris Gilmour, the manager of the restaurant, and his team for allowing the Cub pack to develop their culinary skills.
