A GOVERNMENT agency has issued health advice as air pollution levels rise in Southampton.
Defra says that today and tomorrow the air pollution risk is 'moderate' in areas including Southampton, Romsey, totton and Lyndhurst.
Levels are forecast to return to return to 'low' from Wednesday.
A Defra statement for moderate levels of pollution says: "Adults and children with lung problems and adults with heart problems who experience symptoms should consider reducing strenuous physical activity, particularly outdoors."
