London-bound train passengers are facing delays of up to an hour this afternoon after a broken down freght train blocked the line from Southampton to London Waterloo.
Crews reached the train, which became stranded near Winchester at around 2.20pm, to investigate the fault shortly after 3.30pm and got it moving just after 4pm.
National rail have said the delays are expect to remain in place until 5pm between Winchester and Basingstoke.

Tickets are being accepted by Cross Country trains between Basingstoke and Bournemouth.
