FAMILIES came from far and wide to take on a Spook-taculor challenge at a Southampton School.
Over 400 people participated in the first ever Monster Dash, a 3km inflatable obstacle course, which took over Mountbatten School on Sunday, October 29 for a day of Halloween celebrations.
Organised by local cancer charity Wessex Cancer Trust, the course included six immense inflatables for participants to bounce over, squeeze through and slide down.
Before taking to the course participants warmed up with a spooky exercise routine from the Fitness Fairy.
Onlookers and participants were also treated to a performance of Thriller by students from the Tori Cane School of Dancing ahead of the run.
The Hill family from Farnham were the first to complete the monstrous course with Arlo
Hill,9, who crossed the finish line first, described the course as"Epic". Mum, Ciara said: " It was really good fun, we will definitely be back next year."
Dawn Ingram, Regional Funding Manager for Wessex Cancer Trust said: " We have received a great response from people across Hampshire from Bournemouth - Portsmouth. We would like to thank the school for letting us use their facilities, business who have offered services, and everyone who has taken part and supported the day.
We are hoping to make this an annual event and are looking for a sponsor to make next year's event even bigger. "
