A SECTION of a major road through Romsey is to be closed through the night next week.
Winchester Road, which runs to the edge of the centre of town, will be shut from 8pm until 6am every night from Monday until Thursday.
The road will be shut for 120 metres from its junction of Braishfield Road.
It will be open throughout the day, with the diversion coming via Cupernham Lane, Sandy Lane and Jermyns Lane.
The junction of Winchester Road and Braishfield Road is currently under construction for traffic lights, with the road to be reopened at the end of this month according to Hampshire County Council.
It will mark the end of a three-month closure.
