POLICE have arrested a lorry driver on suspicion of drink driving after the vehicle come of the road near a busy motorway roundabout.
Officers have closed a lane of Brownhill Way eastbound towards the M271 entry slip road.
The lorry is currently to the right of the carriageway, near to B&Q in Nursling, after colliding with the barriers.
The incident took place at around 6.40am. Officers have now cleared the scene, with the lorry removed around 2pm.
The lane closure has now been lifted.
In a tweet, police said: "Pls [sic] be aware we're currently dealing with a lorry that has collided with a barrier on the jct 1 slip road for the M271 at Nursling. One lane of the NB (northbound) slip towards the M27 closed.
"Working to recover [the] lorry, [it] may take some time."
They added that the driver is currently in custody.
