THINGS went wild at a Winchester primary school recently.
Children at St Swithun’s Junior School got to grips with Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are, as choreographer and West End star Charlotte Bull ran a dance workshop, encouraging pupils to engage with the book ‘in a way that captured their imaginations.’
On Tuesday (November 6), Charlotte, who is currently performing in the West End musical We Will Rock, helped them create and perform a 90 second dance piece.
The initiative is run by West End in Schools, a theatre company that brings musical actors into primary schools.
A spokesman for the school said: “St Swithun’s was thrilled to bring a little West End stardust into school.”
