A MOTORBIKE has been damaged after it was stolen from outside a Bishop’s Waltham home last weekend.

The Yamaha bike was parked on the front path of a house in Oak Road, Bishop’s Waltham, and was taken between 1.30am and 12.30pm on Saturday, December 29.

It was later recovered in a communal parking area in the same road but its steering lock and front light were damaged.

PC Jonathan Earnshaw said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area between 1.30am and 12.30pm on December 29. I would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen a motorbike being wheeled along the road around the time of the incident.

“As always I would urge residents to ensure their bikes are locked and kept in a secure area.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Earnshaw at Bishop’s Waltham Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
