Claire and Norman Murphy celebrate Bluebird Care's first anniversary with staff
A WINCHESTER business has celebrated a successful first year in the city.
Since opening in March 2012, Bluebird Care has provided more than 24,000 home care visits to 150 customers, creating 35 new jobs.
The company was set up to support people remaining independent in their homes.
Managing director Norman Murphy said: “We are now providing care to people all over Alresford, Winchester, Eastleigh & Chandlers Ford as well as the most rural areas. We have vastly exceeded our growth expectations which I think is down to the fantastic reputation we have created and the amazing carers that we have.”
His wife and fellow director Claire added: “When we launched in March of last year, we strived to create the highest quality care company with the standards that we would expect for our own relatives. We have done this through only employing the best staff, training them to exceptional standards and delivering the highest levels of customer service.”
Staff marked the occasion with a party at the head office in Winnall on Tuesday, March 5.
