Winchester family forced to cancel holiday after passports stolen in burglary

A WINCHESTER family had to cancel their summer holiday after their passports were stolen from their home.
The burglary took place between 10pm on Sunday, August 18 and 3am, Monday, August 19 at a home in Oakwood Close, Otterbourne.
The family were packed ready for an early flight but woke up to find their passports, camera, mobile phone, holiday money and bank cards stolen.
Offenders also stole the family’s black Volvo C70 from the driveway which was recovered the following day at a car park in Cranbourne Drive, Otterbourne.
PC Graham Wren of Winchester Police Station said: “The victims had gone to bed on Sunday night all packed and ready for their holiday but were devastated to wake on Monday morning to find they had been burgled and their passports stolen.
“The family, who should be relaxing on a beach right now, were unable to travel and have had to cancel their holiday.”
