SIBLING rivalry has been cast aside at two Winchester hospices.

A calendar made by brothers and sisters of children and teenagers with life-limiting conditions at Naomi House and jacksplace has gone on sale to raise funds.

It follows a recent sibling activity day where professional photographer Catherine Skinner ran a photography competition, with the top 12 pictures selected for the calendar.

Jenny Astall, Sibling Support Worker at the Sutton Scotney hospices, said, “We chose a theme of ‘colours’ to give the children a really broad and exciting range of subjects to draw from. The photos that they managed to produce from it were absolutely outstanding.”

She added: “We loved the idea of getting the siblings to create this calendar. We always try to get them as involved as possible in the work that we do. This project was the perfect opportunity for them to support their brothers and sisters while getting the chance to be creative at the same time.”

The calendar costs £4.95 with all proceeds going to support its services.

It is available in Naomi House charity shops and online at naomihouse.org.uk/shop.
