A HAMPSHIRE golf club has raised more than £3,000 for to support a local charity.
Members of the Avington Golf Club presented the Winchester & District branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society with £3,125 in November.
Every year the Senior Captain and the Ladies Captain name two charities to be part of their fund raising efforts.
Anne Tuffnell and Bill Harding from the club went to a physiotherapy class at Hobbs Rehabilitation Centre, where the society has a weekly exercise session.
Pat Neal, MS Society branch chairman, said: “The group were thrilled with the presentation, particularly as it will be used to pay for future physio sessions. These are private exercise sessions paid for by the Winchester MS Branch. These classes are invaluable in supporting and helping members with the effects of MS.”
