RESIDENTS in a Hampshire market town have another chance to influence how it will evolve over the next two decades.

Alresford Town Council is hosting a public exhibition and a meeting to discuss the town plan.

The town has been told by Winchester City Council that it must find space for up to 500 houses by 2031.

Proposals in 2012 for the redevelopment of Perins secondary school and the Dean industrial area and their relocation, along with new housing, to farmland off Sun Lane were widely criticised.

The exhibition will be at Alresford Recreation Centre tomorrow (TUES, JAN7), starting at 2pm with a public meeting from 7.30pm.

At the meeting, there will be information on how to give feedback on recommendations, plus a link will be added to the website from that date for online responses during the six-week consultation.
