IT’S lambing time at Sparsholt College next weekend and everyone’s invited.

Families will be able to see the newest offspring, as well as enjoy farm-based puzzles and quizzes, craft activities and even afternoon milking in the dairy. The first lambs are already being born.

The college will also feature ponies for petting, tractor and trailer rides, face-painting and metal sculpturing.

Shepherd John Garrett said: “It’s a fun day out for all the family and we always get some great questions from the younger members of the audience who are fascinated by the whole experience. The flock is due to begin producing lambs the week before, so lambing will be in full swing.”

Tickets cost £5 for adults, £3.50 for children aged three-16 and £15 for a family ticket and will be available at the gate on the day.

Gates open at 9.30am and close at 3.30pm on January 25-26 but dogs are not permitted.
